Will there be new Avengers movies?
Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe that will open tomorrow for the first episode of WandaVision, will begin to delve into the multiverse (the possibility of multiple realities and temporalities), an element that will be retaken during later productions like Loki, Spider-Man 3, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love and Thunder and more.
After the emblematic end of Avengers: Endgame, which Spider-Man: far from home ended up closing, it seemed to be the culmination of an era of films that began with Iron-Man (2008) and that began to an unprecedented era of connected superhero movies.
The so-called Infinity Saga (precisely the period of more than a decade: from 2008 to 2019), was the beginning of the expansion of Marvel Studios that, as announced at its latest conventions (such as San Diego, 2019 and Investor Day of Disney in 2020), will explore new heroes (like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), continue the stories of those we already know and present the industry’s first series.
In all this context it seemed almost a given that we would never see an adventure from the original Avengers squad, played by Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner.
On the one hand, because many of them had expressed their intentions not to get into the skin of the characters again and since several gave their lives in Endgame to defeat Thanos. However, if something seems to be truly a fact in Marvel, it is that nothing is completely said, since there will be a new movie for The Avengers.
To all this, what exactly did Kevin Feige say? The president of Marvel Studios has been providing notes in recent days and in one of them he confirmed that we will see the Avengers in a new film but that it will not be in Phase 4.
