Will Johnny Depp play Captain Jack Sparrow again?
Much to the sadness of most Pirates of the Caribbean fans, Disney has already made the decision to have no more Johnny Depp in the franchise films, which means that we will no longer see any new adventure from Captain Jack.
The relationship between Depp and Disney was already strained long before the legal problems between the actor and his ex-wife Amber Heard, but now things have gotten even worse.
Now, one of the actors in the film, Kevin McNally, came out in defense of his co-worker, saying that the franchise needs to have Sparrow in the next film.
McNally played Joshamee Gibbs, Jack Sparrow’s right-hand man and even went so far as to say that it would be “criminal” not to allow Depp to appear in the film, even if it were to make a cameo, arguing that the actor created a “modern legend” through his interpretation of Sparrow.
Previously, Greg Ellis, who is also in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, as one of the commanders of the East Indian Company, had previously defended colleague Depp on his social networks.
Fans of the saga want Johnny Depp to continue playing the Captain, in the next films.
