WandaVision has stepped on the accelerator.
In a chapter that alternated the unreal world of ‘sitcom’ created by Wanda, with what happens outside Westview, the Marvel Studios series continued to answer the many questions on the table and reveal what happened to some of its protagonists, after the events of Endgame.
WandaVision continues to explore the aftermath of the traumatic events of Infinity War and Endgame and after last week’s episode showcased the chaos brought on by the sudden return of half the population by the snap of the Hulk, the fifth episode reveals, among other things, what happened to Wanda Maximoff after Iron Man’s funeral, the last time viewers saw her after she was one of those who returned and participated, in a stellar way, in the final battle with Thanos.
At a meeting at the makeshift barracks of SWORD, Captain Monica Rambeau insists that despite her being responsible for everything that is happening, including the kidnapping of thousands of townspeople, Wanda is not a terrorist and you don’t have to respond with an attack. Furthermore, the Captain maintains that the sitcom world she has created is not a conscious act of aggression.
Thus, in a very special episode, viewers discover the first step that Scarlet Witch took to create the alternate reality in which she lives right now: recovering Vision’s body that, as all Marvel fans will remember, was killed by Thanos in Infinity War.
