South African Coronavirus Cases On The Rise

South African Coronavirus cases on the rise.

Just as soon as South Africa eased its coronavirus lockdown, the Novel Coronavirus infections started to rise rapidly. On Friday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said that he was very worried about the province around Cape Town.

Western Cape, whose wine toursandTable Mountain have made the place a hot spot for tourists from all over the globe, has now become the main hotspot for Coronavirus in South Africa. Western Cape has almost 2/3rd of the total COVID-19 infections of South Africa.

On Thursday, South Africa recorded its biggest jump in New Coronavirus cases, with a record 3,267 new cases. This is almost as much as 80% higher than its prior daily record.

On Friday, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, visited Cape Town and was briefed on efforts being made to tackle the killer Coronavirus, inclusive of the opening of a new temporary field hospital which will be for patients who are mild to moderately sick due to  Novel Coronavirus.

In sub-Saharan Africa, South Africa is the worst hit, with around 45,980 cases and around 952 deaths because of Coronavirus.
