In the evening of September 25, an An-26 plane of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine crashed, while landing at the Chuguev airport in Kharkiv region. In addition to the crew, cadets of the Kharkiv National University of the Air Force were on board.

It is currently impossible to identify the bodies of the cadets killed in the Kharkiv plane crash. DNA tests will be needed to identify the victims of the An-26 military plane crash in the Kharkiv region, as the bodies are severely mutilated. The DNA examination will take two to three weeks. The families of the victims of the An-26 plane crash of the Air Force in the Kharkiv region will receive UAH 1.5 million each.

The state commission set up by the government must submit a report on the results of the investigation into the An-26 crash by October 25. President Volodymyr Zelensky instructed to ban training flights of An-26 aircraft and their analogues in the Armed Forces, during the investigation of the Kharkiv plane crash.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that 26 people died in the Kharkiv plane crash and one was hospitalized, as a result. He declared September 26 a Day of mourning in Ukraine, in connection with the crash of the An-26 military aircraft in the Kharkiv region.

A cadet who received 90% burns in the Kharkiv plane crash, has died. People from 11 regions were on board the An-26 military plane that crashed near Chuguev, in the Kharkiv region.

The State Commission to Investigate the Causes of the An-26 Military Plane Crash has begun its work in the Kharkiv region. Deputy Prime Minister Oleh Uruskyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ruslan Khomchak, Minister of Defense Andriy Taran, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and Head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechotkin, flew to the city of Chuhuiv.

On board the Kharkiv plane crash, there were second and fourth year cadets. This was stated during a briefing by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleksiy Kucher.

The leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, held a briefing at the site of the plane crash in the Kharkiv region. The State Commission to investigate the circumstances of the crash of the An-26 on Friday near Kharkov, will be headed by Deputy Prime Minister Oleg Urusky.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi announced that he would arrive in Kharkiv Region on Saturday, where the Kharkiv plane crash took place.
