According to new reports, it is said that the Coronavirus pandemic could last for 2 years. The report, put together by a group of experts, stated that the Novel Coronavirus pandemic will not be controlled, till around 2/3rds of the population all over the globe, is immune.
As Coronavirus has the capability of spreading from people who do not seem to be ill, it could be harder to control than influenza. In recent times, influenza has been the cause of most pandemics.
This was stated by the report from the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.
The report was put together by CIDRAP director Michael Osterholm, medical director Kristen Moore, Tulane University public health historian John Barry and Marc Lipsitch, an epidemiologist at the Harvard School of Public Health, who stated: “Risk communication messaging from government officials should incorporate the concept that this pandemic will not be over soon. And that people need to be prepared for possible periodic resurgences of disease over the next two years.”
