Coronavirus in Wuhan since August 2019?
According to a new study, there is news that the Novel Coronavirus could have existed in Wuhan, China, since as early as August 2018.
This new study has been made by Boston children’s hospital, Boston University of Public Health and Harvard Medical School and they state that in the year 2019, in late summer and early fall, they detected a number of people being admitted to hospitals. They say that this is indicative that Coronavirus could possibly already be in circulation, much before it was identified in December 2019, in Wuhan.
The study was conducted by using search engine queries that were disease-related, as well as satellite imagery of parking lots.
The study says…
“This hypothesis is supported by emerging epidemiologic and phylogenetic evidence indicating that the virus emerged in southern China and may have already spread internationally, and adapted for efficient human transmission by the time it was detected in late December.”
To do the study, 111 satellite images of Wuhan were collected by the researchers, during the period January 9, 2018 to April 30, 2020. And the results showed that on a day to day basis, there were 140 successful extractions of parking lot volume from hospitals.
According to the analysis done by the researchers, there was an upward trend seen of increased hospital occupancy, between 2018 and 2020. And from August 2019, there was a “steep increase” in the activity.
China denies that they covered up or delayed informing the world of the Coronavirus in their country. In a press release by the State Council Information Office of the People’s Republic of China, it was said:
“China timely notified the international community of virus data and information about the epidemic, and made significant contributions to the global prevention and control…”
