So far, Russia has reported 5,037 deaths and 423,741 cases of Novel Coronavirus infections.

Sergei Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow, has announced that from June 1, 2020, some of the Coronavirus restrictions on Moscow will be lifted. A few service sector businesses and all non-food shops will be allowed to open.

All parks, besides Zaryadye Park will re-open.

Also, by making use of a schedule system for apartment buildings, Moscow will be testing the lifting of restrictions on walks outside.

Next week, Russia is also scheduled to launch its first approved drug, to battle against the killer Novel Coronavirus. Russia has described this drug as a ‘game changer’.

The military of Russia announced that, dozens of volunteers had been recruited from among their ranks, with the purpose of testing the Coronavirus vaccine on them. These clinical trials would start on Wednesday and they would last for a period of around 2 months.

Dmitry Chernyshenko, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, in a government meeting, announced that by mid-July, movie theaters might re-open. He added that in fall, concert halls and theaters could reopen.

Anastasia Rakova, Deputy Mayor, said on state-run television, that temporary hospitals which had been set up in Moscow, for treating Coronavirus pandemic patients, would be operating for at least a year.

Online reports state that one in every 4 Russians believe that Coronavirus is made-up.
